Acer Aspire One

Categories: Computers | June 15th, 2008 | by admin | no comments

Although this machine was built to compete with the growing development of mini pcs i dont think it compares to the Asus EEE PC. that just what i feel though

The Acer Aspire One will be Acer’s answer to the MSI Wind, the Asus EEE 900 and the rest of the mininotebook pack. Hmm the Aspire one seems a good alternative to the MSI Wind it also packs the same Intel Atom CPU as opposed to the Via ones

The Aspire One will feature:

The Mighty Asus EEE PC

Categories: Computers | April 7th, 2008 | by admin | no comments

Asus new EEE PC is it all its cracked up to be well i think it is there are some minor cons to it but hey thats wut external things are for :)

The Pros of the EEE PC
- Small, light, and inexpensive; solid-state hard drive is fast and efficient; well-thought-out preinstalled software package.

The Cons of the EEE PC
- Cramped Keyboard; very little hard drive space; low Res. Screen.

Pretty much for less than 400 bucks the EEE PC offers an impressive package for portable web surfing and basic productivity, as long as you keep expectations tempered. The incredible approachable price shows up any new technologys; its near perfect choice for a highly portable laptop.

The EEE PC runs a Intel 900 MHz Moblie CPU; With a 512MB DDR2 SDRAM and the best part is it only weighs 2 pounds. 2 to 8 gig SSD Hard Drive graphics is a Intel 910, with linux as the base operating system.

Well yea i know a con is all about small space and stuff but of course every computer comes with the infamous USB 2.0 ports I mean come on if your thinking what i’m thinking then, who needs all the space in the computer when you can simply hook up an external hard drive using the 4 USB ports, mini-firewire, or the mulitformat memory card reader. Even better add ons’ are that is has a PC Card Slot, built in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a DVD Burner. This is such a awesome package for something so damn small i mean it is pure genious. Plus of course it comes with your standard audio ports.

Pretty much thats all I wanted to say about it. Its an awesome product and i cant wait for some new stuff from Asus. Peace Out!

AMD Phenom Processors!!!

Categories: Computers | March 31st, 2008 | by admin | no comments

AMD officially took the wraps off its new Phenom brand today, launching the new desktop quad-core at speeds of 2.2GHz and 2.3GHz (Phenom 9500 and 9600, respectively). Contrary to earlier rumors, the processors will reportedly be available in quantity, though it may take a few weeks to see whether or not that availability stretches down to the retail channel.

The Phenoms were launched as part of AMD’s “Spider” enthusiast platform, a platform that also includes the ATI-designed Radeon HD 3800 series GPUs (aka the RV670, which we’ll review shortly) and the new CrossfireX-capable Series 7 chipset based on Socket AM2+.

Pricing on the two Phenom chips is set at $251 for the Phenom 9500, and $283 for Phenom 9600, both in 1,000-unit quantities. Intel’s Q6600, by comparison, is currently $260 OEM ($279 retail) at NewEgg.
